Misty Cove Wines Landmark Sauvignon Blanc is deeply influenced by old world winemaking techniques. Lovingly handcrafted in small batch quantities, we crefted this wine to reflect the “Landmark” – the attributes and characteristics of the Faretham Lane vineyard from which it originated.

2022 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Silex is a French term and type of sedimentary soil that is rich with flint and gives a “gunflint” character to the wine – a smokey note that the French call “pierre a fusil” and achieved with the Landmark Sauvignon Blanc by crop limitation in the vineyard, terroir, and winemaking techniques.

Lees ageing (6 month) prior to bottling has further developed mid- palate weight adding to the wine’s distinctive citrus, herbal and mineral notes.

Dynamic and exuberant, the wine shows kiwifruit, feijoa, passionfruit and lemon/lime zest aromas on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate delivering awesome power and persistency. Varietally pure and packed with delectable flavours finishing long and refreshing.
